From this perspective you can see how the new tank, seat and rear fender are flat and the relationship between the handlebars, pegs and seat would make for easier transfer into a forward riding position.

The ’10 shock on the left is noticeably different because of a color change on the spring, but what you may not realize is the coil is now 30mm shorter to facilitate the revised intake tract for the airbox.

The ’10 forks shown on the left have received numerous revisions as well. They still feature the KYB Speed Sensitive System, but have a new surface treatment on the piston rod as well as revised damping settings.

Shown on the right is the all-new gas tank specifically designed for the YZ250F. You’ll notice that it’s wider and shorter to accommodate the new ergonomics of the 2010 machine. Petcock has been revised and the tank now accommodates about 1.6 gallons (a slight reduction from last year).
